The Dalgona (Whipped) Coffee is a rich, velvety treat characterised by its distinct two-layer look. By using TCC’s Beaten Coffee, you skip the labor-intensive whisking process and achieve a stable, café-quality froth in seconds.
I. Ingredients
-
Milk: 1 Cup (approx. 200ml) – Chilled for Iced, Steamed for Hot.
-
Coffee Base: 1.5 to 2 Tablespoons TCC Beaten Coffee (choose your favorite flavor).
-
Ice: 3–4 Large cubes (optional for the iced version).
-
Garnish: A dash of cocoa powder, cinnamon, or chocolate shavings.
II. Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Base
Fill a clear glass or mug with your choice of milk.
-
For Iced: Add ice cubes first, then pour in cold milk until the glass is 75% full.
-
For Hot: Heat milk until steaming (do not boil) and pour into a mug.
Step 2: Top with Foam
Gently dollop the TCC Beaten Coffee paste onto the surface of the milk. The high density of the whipped paste allows it to float effortlessly on top.
Step 3: Texture & Styling
Using a spoon, smooth the top of the coffee foam into a dome shape or create "peaks" by lightly tapping the spoon and pulling upward.
Step 4: Serve
Dust with your preferred garnish. For the best flavor experience, encourage the drinker to stir the foam into the milk slightly before the first sip to create a creamy, unified texture.
III. Tips for Success
-
Glassware: Use a tall, narrow glass to emphasize the beautiful contrast between the white milk and the golden coffee foam.
-
Milk Choice: Full-fat dairy or creamy oat milk provides the best structural support for the foam.
-
Temperature: If making a hot version, the heat from the milk will slightly soften the foam, making it even creamier as you drink.
IV. Recommended Pairings
-
Sweet: Pairs excellently with a buttery croissant or a slice of tea cake.
-
Savory: Complements a light brunch of avocado toast or salted nuts.
